A Brief History...

Summer of 1994 - Congregation Amchah founded by Rabbi Larry Winer as "a synagogue dedicated to serving all with warmth and spirituality".

April 1995 - Incorporated in the State of Florida as a not for profit religious organization.

July 1994 to July 1996 - Conducted services for Shabbos and Holidays at member's homes and various locations.

July 1996 - Relocated into a third floor suite in an office building on East Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, where we offered religious services, classes and seminars.

July 1998 -  To better serve the community as a "synagogue serving all" relocated into our present facility at 2771 East Oakland Park Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

September 2000 - Dedicated our new 100 seat Sanctuary.

October 2000 - Dedicated the Rousse-Wattenberg Library.

September 2002 - Transfer / Dedication Ceremony of two Torah Scrolls and an Ark from Congregation Haverim of Flossmoor, Illinois (South Suburban Chicago).

August 2007 - Relocated to Sunrise Florida - Inaugural Service August 8, 2007

September 2007 - Began the Congregation Amchah Hebrew School and Learning Center

September 2007 - Began Congregation Amchah "Mommy & ME" toddler program
